TMO Endorses Eric R. Sabree for Wayne County Treasurer

It has been an honor serving as Wayne County Treasurer for the past four years and I am seeking re-election in the upcoming primary on August 4, 2020.  I hope you and your family are healthy and safe.

Over the past four years under my leadership, the Wayne County Treasurer’s Office (WCTO) has been proactive and has made substantive accomplishments. We have achieved a remarkable reduction in county-wide property tax foreclosures by 86% and we increased returns on interest investment income by 500%.

As Treasurer, I look forward to a sustained focus on strategic planning and continuous improvement in the WCTO.  I have a solid commitment to the needs of the 43 municipalities and local taxing authorities, and I remain optimistic that the efforts of the past four years and the upcoming years will continue to strengthen and stabilize Wayne County communities. Wayne County needs proven leadership and experience for the challenging times that residents are facing and will continue to face.  I have adhered to the legislative mandates for County Treasurers and at the same time made each decision with compassion for county residents and the needs of the municipalities.
