Cincinnati mosque donates 30,000 food items
CINCINNATI,OH–The Clifton Mosque in Greater Cincinnati donated more than 30,000 items to the Freestore Foodbank as part of a national campaign to honor the three Muslim students killed in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.
“I believe, and we believe as Muslims, that we have to be the reflection of divine love in our community. And we have to be the change that we want to see. So we really need to combat all hate with love. Love is the only thing that will conquer hate,” Ismaeel Chartier of the Imam of Clifton told the local NBC news channel.
The mosque plans to make the food drive an annual event.
