Rep. Kucinich Encourages The Muslim Observer (TMO)

Farmington–October 7–Congressman Dennis Kucinich (D-10-OH) recently met with TMO founder and publisher, Dr. AS Nakadar, at an AFMI Convention in Cleveland Ohio.

The Congressman spoke with Dr. Nakadar for about 30 minutes, and took pains to emphasize the importance of the work of TMO, which is the nation’s strongest national Muslim newspaper.

Dr. Nakadar explained that Kucinich said TMO is the “only Muslim voice, and he wants it to flourish.”  Kucinich emphasized during their meeting that the newspaper should try to use multimedia elements.  He mentioned creating a television channel.

The meeting lasted for a long period, half an hour out of the busy congressman’s schedule–and Dr. Nakadar and Rep. Kucinich intend to do follow up meetings in Washington DC (to which he invited Dr. Nakadar) and Detroit (to which Dr. Nakadar invited the congressman) in the coming weeks.

Another good sign of TMO’s increasing clout and success.
