The Michigan Muslim Capitol Day on May 28th was a huge success, with almost 200 people coming to Lansing from across the state to meet their representatives and community leaders. (Click here for more pictures). The common theme was that Michigan’s Muslims are diverse and engaged with their community, with great projects and ideas to make Michigan a better place for all. MMCC would like to thank its key sponsors including the CAIR-Michigan chapter, the Canton mosque (MCWS), Islamic Center of Great Lansing, Muslim Family Services, Zaman International, University Islamic Finance, Somerset Home Healthcare, APIA Votes, Huda clinic, United Voices of America, and Biggby Coffee. The event was widely covered in the media with numerous television and print stories, including the Associated Press, Detroit Free Press, Detroit News, Lansing State Journal, WLNS and more.
