Vandals target mosque sign in Midland Park

MIDLAND PARK, NJ–Vandals struck the El Zahra Mosque in Midland Park, New Jersey, just two weeks before it was set to open. According to the Midland Park Suburban News the vandals targeted the mosque’s sign on May 25th.

Swastikas and male reproductive organs were reportedly carved on the sign of the mosque located at the entrance. The police is treating the incident as a bias incident.

The mosque is moving ahead. It is hosting a “community open house” from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Friday, June 5.
