The Prophet’s Smile: a seminar coming to Dearborn, MI

Indeed, his speech, character, walk, and love were all encompassed with mercy. Until the end of time, man tries to emulate his superb example, peace and blessings be upon him. 1400 years after his death, his name is still mentioned across the world: Prophet Muhammad (pbuh).

Qabeelah Ittihaad is bringing a heart-touching seminar to Dearborn, MI on September 11^th to 13^th 2015. Al-Maghrib Institute is a non-profit organization that focuses on educating students in a social and spiritual way. It has opened Qabeelahs (chapters) in over 40 cities around the globe, including North America, Europe, Asia, and Australia. Over 80,000 unique students of knowledge have attended seminars, and counting. Seminars are held only during weekends, with exceptionally selected instructors who drill it down to the basis.

The Prophet’s Smile is a weekend long seminar that discusses the Shamaai’l (characteristics) of Prophet Muhammad. The more you hear about him, the further you’ll strive to work hard in this life in order to be his companion in Jannah. Who is Shaykh Yaser Birjas?

Yaser Birjas is originally from the holy land of Palestine and was born in Kuwait. He graduated as class valedictorian with the highest honors from University of Madinah’s College of Shariah (Fiqh and Usul) in 1996. He had the honor to interact and learn from a number of highly respected scholars such as Shaikh Ash-Shanqitee and Shaikh Al-Uthaimeen (rahimahu Allah). After graduating from the University of Madinah, Yaser Birjas went on to work as a youth counselor and relief program aide in war-torn Bosnia. Thereafter, he immigrated to the U.S. where he is presently an Imam (spiritual leader and advisor) at The Islamic Center in El Paso, Texas. He is also an instructor at AlMaghrib Institute, an organization that provides trademark double-weekend seminars leading its students towards a bachelor’s degree in Islamic Studies. His two most recent courses of instruction with AlMaghrib Institute are Heavenly Hues: Thematic Tasfir; which focuses on the study of the Quran through the themes that are within it; and The Blessed Standing: Fiqh of Salah which deals with the rulings and etiquettes associated with the perfection of prayer, the types of prayers, and contemporary issues regarding salah.
