PAAGH’s New Office-Bearers Take Their Oaths
Honorable Nadeem Administered the Oaths
The new office bearers of the Pakistani-American Association of Greater Houston (PAAGH) took their oaths this past Saturday at Pakistan Center. The Honorable Consul General of Pakistan in Houston Aqil Nadeem administered their oaths.
Actual elections have not happened in the Pakistani-American Association of Greater Houston (PAAGH) for quite some time; and this year again, the following office bearers have been elected for two years terms:
Asif Waheed (Vice President), M. Atiq Ahmed (Treasurer), Zaki Mirza (Joint Secretary), Nasir Khan (Sports & Youth Committee Chair), and Asif Hasan (Planning & Development Committee Chair).
Existing Office Bearers, whose positions elections will be held in December 2012, are Tasleem Siddiqui (President), Mian Nazir (General Secretary), Fahad Hussain (Religious & Cultural Committee Chair), Farha Khan (Community Services Committee Chair), and Farah Iqbal (Education Committee Chair).
Tasleem Siddiqui thanked his team for their hard work last year, and also extended his gratitude to Pakistan Chamber of Commerce USA (Pervez Swati), Pakistan-American Council of Texas (Sajjad Burki), and Pakistani-American Society of Texas (Saeed Gaddi) in collaborating with PAAGH during the recent peaceful demonstration in front of Houston’s Federal Building against the NATO attacks in Pakistan.
Honorable Aqil Nadeem applaud the efforts done by PAAGH in community service, and stressed the need to increase the involvement of PAAGH in the affairs of mainstream society, and be a service to all.
