Muneeba Syed wins Shrewsbury Public Library Scholarship

SHREWSBURY,MA — The recipient of the 2013 Friends of the Shrewsbury Public Library Scholarship is Muneeba Syed. Muneeba is a graduate of Shrewsbury High School and is attending Wheaton College.

Applicants were asked to describe their vision of Shrewsbury Public Library in 2025. In her essay titled “A Walk in the Future,” Muneeba wrote: “I imagine a spacious new building with naturally lit rooms, research and multimedia centers, the Globe theater and a café, a community space known for more than its books.” She is the daughter of Yasmin and Athakka Aminuddin.
