The Council of Islamic Organizations of Michigan (CIOM) is organizing a coordinated mosque open house event “at a mosque near you” on October 17, 2009.

There will be guided tours of all seven participating mosques, and complimentary refreshments will be provided.  There will be presentations on Islam, and question and answer sessions.

Participating mosques include the American Moslem Society (9945 W. Vernor Hwy, Dearborn); Islamic Organization of North America (IONA), 28630 Ryan Road, Warren; the Muslim Community of the Western Suburbs (Canton Mosque, MCWS), 40440 Palmer Rr., Canton; The Muslim Center (TMC) 1605 W. Davison, Detroit; Islamic Association of Greater Detroit (IAGD), 879 W. Auburn Rd., Rochester Hills; Islamic Community of As-Salaam Michigan (ICAM) 21628 Fenkell Dr., Detroit; and the Islamic House of Wisdom (IHW), 22575 Ann Arbor Trail, Dearborn Heights.
