At the beginning of the 19th century repairs were necessary for the Imam’s tomb so the ruler of Egypt asked the Azhar Imam and Gran Mufti to go down and see what is buried beneath.

They both went down and came out shaking. They saw a head wrapped in green silk on a beautifully decorated ebony chair. And two containers made from gold filled with oud oil that made the place smell heavenly. They could not describe the feeling they had down there.
