Dr. Javaid Anwar, M.D. from Las Vegas was recently appointed to Federal Commission on Long Term Care.
Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid appointed Javaid Anwar, M.D. to serve on the Federal Commission on Long Term Care. The bipartisan commission consists of 15 appointees. The commission is charged by the Congress to report with a plan for establishment, implementation, and financing of comprehensive coordinated, and high quality system that ensures the availability of long-term services and supports for individuals in need. For purposes of developing a plan, the commission consults with Medicare payment advisory commission, Medicaid and CHIP payment and access commission, the national Council on disability and relevant consumer groups.
