Dr. Javaid Anwar, M.D. from Las Vegas was recently appointed to Federal Commission on Long Term Care.

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid appointed Javaid Anwar, M.D. to serve on the Federal Commission on Long Term Care. The bipartisan commission consists of 15 appointees. The commission is charged by the Congress to report with a plan for establishment, implementation, and financing of comprehensive coordinated, and high quality system that ensures the availability of long-term services and supports for individuals in need. For purposes of developing a plan, the commission consults with Medicare payment advisory commission, Medicaid and CHIP payment and access commission, the national Council on disability and relevant consumer groups.

Dr. Javaid Anwar is the CEO of Quality Care Consultants, LLC., He served as Past President and member of the Nevada State Board of Medical Examiners., Nominated by President George W. Bush to be a member of the Board of Trustees of the Harry S. Truman scholarship foundation., Served on the Health Care Forum at the request of Senate Majority Leader, Harry Reid, to advise on national health care reform issues., Served as the Medical Advisor to the Director of Consumer Health Assistance – Office of the Gov. – State of Nevada., Appointed by Gov. Kenny Guinn – Chairman Public Health Services, Task Force on Access to, for the State of Nevada, a two years term.
