Congressman Gary Peters Fundraising Lunch

The Pakistani Democratic Caucus organized a fundraising event at Mr. Faiz Khan’s residence in Rochester Hills.

Over 50 people attended the event.  Congressman Gary Peters, speaking to the gathering, said that he understands immigrants’ issues and their problems, as his mother was an immigrant from France.  He said he also understand the issues of freedom and liberty and justice because he is a descendant of people who fought in the US Civil War.  He praised President Obama’s policies and explained they are helping to revive the economy and increase employment.

Congressman Peters was forced to leave early as he had five other events scheduled the same evening, however a lively question and answer session followed, during which those in attendance discussed strategies for the upcoming election, and then enjoyed a delicious meal.
