ABC “Wife Swap” Seeking Muslim Families–Paying $20,000
The ABC Television reality show, “Wife Swap†is seeking Muslim families to participate in the show.
Here is an excerpt from ABC’s letter to TMO:
“In case you are not familiar with the show, the premise of Wife Swap is simple: for two weeks, two wives from two different families exchange husbands, children and lives (but not bedrooms) to discover what it’s like to live a different woman’s life. The show airs on ABC on Monday nights at 8pm – family hour! It offers a positive experience for people not only to teach, but to learn about different family values.
“We are currently casting for the third season of our show, which is filming in February and March of 2007. I realize that there is very little diversity on network television – and we’d like to take some steps to change that. We are always looking to feature interesting families on the show. The best families are outgoing, dynamic people who are excited about teaching another family (and the rest of their country) about their lifestyle and the values that they feel are important.
“I was hoping you would be willing to spread the word through your website about this casting call. We are looking for two parent families who have children between the ages of 6-17 living full time in the home. Families who are chosen to appear on the show receive $20,000.”
If you meet ABC’s criteria and are interested in getting involved, call Adil at 248-426-7777 and leave your name and phone number, or email wifeswap@muslimobserver.com.
