Israeli Fatwa: Infants of Lebanon Are Fair Game
An announcement posted on the Israeli website Y News states that the Yesha Rabbinical Council announced in response to the Israeli Army attack in Kfar Qanna that killed 60 innocents, mainly children, that “according to Jewish law, during a time of battle and war, there is no such term as ‘innocents’ of the enemy.â€
Previously (July 12), the Jerusalem Post reported that the Yesha Rabbinical Council also called for the Israeli army to “exterminate the enemy in the north and in the south.†The Yesha Rabbinical Council is a fringe right-wing Jewish extremist movement that also calls for Jews to resist disengagement by Settlers from the land they occupy in Gaza and the West Bank.
“All of the discussions on Christian morality are weakening the spirit of the army and the nation and are costing us in the blood of our soldiers and civilians,†the Rabbinical Council’s statement said.
