Oak Brook, IL–Chicago-based Crescent Foods celebrated their 20th anniversary with their employees volunteering at their local food bank last month.
Crescent Foods employees celebrated by giving their time, by volunteering in preparing food and placing them in vacuum-sealed bags for the needy. They choose to spend this anniversary by giving back to their local community to keep in mind that healthy food is a basic necessity for all, not a privilege. “Employees looked forward to the event because not only was it rewarding to give back but they also learned how the food pantry operates,” said Amna Haq, Marketing Director at Crescent Foods.
“While we work to bring All-Natural healthy choices to families everywhere, it’s important to remind ourselves that there are still so many fighting against hunger,” added Amna.
Amna, along with the rest of the Crescent employees believe that consumers of the meat and chicken industry are evolved and more attuned towards healthier eating options such as antibiotic-free and hormone-free. “I’m delighted to be leading this company as we begin our next 20 years of making people’s lives healthier,” said CEO and founder Ahmad Adam.
Founded in 1995, Crescent Foods is a leading provider of Halal products in the United States.
