Obituary: Dr. Asim Hussain

Dr. Asim Hussain, one of the founders of the MCWS community and father of Rafe Hussain and Saad Hussain, passed away on Monday, July 8, 2013.

Janaza prayer was heldWednesday, July 10, following dhuhr prayers (2:00pm) at MCWS (Canton Masjid). The burial took place at Knollwood Memorial Park (1299 N Ridge Rd, Canton, MI 48187 – between Ridge and Saltz Roads).

We pray that Allah (SWT) forgive him any shortcomings he may have had and grant him a place in Jannat ul Firdaus. We ask that Allah (SWT) grant his family sabr during their time of loss.
Community leaders, imams and community members gathered in large numbers to pay their last respects and pray for him.

“The young dynamic community that we see today is because of his vision and guidance” said Dr. A. Hafeez, one of the representatives of the Muslim Community of the Western Suburbs.
It is a great loss to the Muslim community and his void will be felt for a long time to come.
