Salim Patel President of Passaic Board of Education

Salim Patel was sworn in unanimously as the president of the Passaic Board of Education on May 2, 2012.

Mr. Patel was introduced and sworn in by Ms. Bernice Toledo, the Passaic County Surrogate, who spoke highly of Mr. Patel’s character and integrity, and also of his work in planning, leading, and balancing competing interests in his past service on the commission of the Board of Education.

Mr. Patel is the first person of Indian origin to serve as president of this board of education.
