Mariyum Khan Receives Top Girl Scouts Honor
STOCKBRIDGE, GA–Mariyum Khan, a senior at a suburban Atlanta high school, has won one of the top honors of Girls Scouts. She was one of the 113 girls presented with gold awards by the Greater Atlanta Girl Scout Council, the Neighbor Newspapers reported.
For her gold award project, Khan focused on veterans, organizing an information fair and 5K walk to benefit the Veterans Affairs Hospital.
Khan plans to attend Mercer University in the fall and hopes to become a physician’s assistant.
