Kellogg Cultures of Giving Challenge
DEARBORN – ACCESS is participating in an exciting 10-day online campaign, the Kellogg Cultures of Giving Donor Challenge, to raise funds for our youth programs and we’re counting on the community to help us win $25,000 Friday.
Today’s in-person Donor Activist day on April 20 is the one activity in the ten day campaign that allows EVERYONE to make a difference. All that’s required is a $10 donation or more, made in person with a credit card, any time between 10 a.m. and 10 p.m. at one of three locations in Dearborn:
Dearborn Fresh, 13661 Colson St.
ACCESS One Stop Employment Center Office, 6451 Schaefer Rd.
ACCESS Youth and Family Services Center, 2651 Saulino Court
Our goal is to have 1,000 people participate in the Donor Activist Day on April 20th. Please spread the word, come and bring your family, neighbors, and friends. During this overall challenge, the Kellogg Foundation is helping us invest in our future by providing a one-to-one match for online donations made between April 17-26!
That’s not all. As one of 22 national organizations in the Cultures of Giving Challenge – and the only Arab American organization participating – ACCESS is also eligible to win competitive prizes. For example, if we raise the most funds on April 24th for Healthy Kids – we’ll win another $25,000 per project!
AND if we raise the most money overall during the full 10-day challenge we’ll get an additional prize of $100,000! That means we have the potential to raise $150,000 above and beyond donations!
Grounded in the Arab-American tradition of hospitality, ACCESS has a 41-year history of providing social, health, education and legal services in greater Detroit to empower people to lead healthy, informed, productive lives. Today, ACCESS extends that mission to a national platform through advocacy, arts, culture and philanthropy. Visit us online at www.accesscommunity.org.
