St. Patrick and St. Joseph Schools & Colleges Reunion Committee USA organized the reunion event at Shahnai Reception Hall, 5912 Hillcroft Ave, Houston, Texas 77036, and simultaneously a Reunion on April 1st 2012 at 9 AM in Karachi, Pakistan with St Patrickâ€™s & St Josephâ€™s School/Colleges alumni there.
This unique Reunion event was the first of its kind ever in the world as the two events were simultaneously happening at the same time on two different continents live via Skype, so alumni all over the world could also participate in these unique celebrations at the same time.
This Reunion coincides with the 150 years celebrations of St Patrickâ€™s & St Josephâ€™s Schools/Colleges of Pakistanâ€™s founding in Karachi Pakistan & are some of the oldest educational institutions in Karachi.
St Patrickâ€™s School has many distinguished Alumni including Pakistanâ€™s President Asif Ali Zardari, Former President of Pakistan Pervez Musharraf, Former Prime Minister of Pakistan Shaukat Aziz, Former Deputy Prime Minister of India Lal Krishna Advani, Former test Crickets Javed Miandad, Waseem Bari, & Danish Kaneria; and several Chief Ministers, Governors, Chief Justices etc. The event was Organized by Mr. Danny Dhalla, Chairman of the Reunion Committee USA and was assisted by Mrs. Aniqah Quraeshi Chair of the St Josephs School/College & Mr. Shahid Barry Chair of the St Patrickâ€™s School/College.
The event was a glittering success as 250 plus alumni from all over the world participated including from Canada, Chile, Pakistan, UAE, Europe, Texas, Washington DC, Maryland, Virginia, California, Michigan, Florida, Arizona, Illinois, Missouri, North Carolina, New York, New Jersey, Halifax, etc
The Chief Guest was Mr. Oswin Mascarenhas Ex Principal St Patrickâ€™s College. Mrs. Jean Mascarenhas presented awards to Mr. Fuad Cochinwala ( Alumni of the Year), Beo Ranaa Zafar (for her contribution to the arts), Saad Rashid (for his services to humanity), Mrs. Aniqah Quraeshi, & Mr. Shahid Barry (for their tremendous dedication & contribution for making this event a success).
