WINDSOR, CT–Madina Academy recently received accreditation from the New England Association of Schools and Colleges. It is only the second Muslim school achieve such recognition in the state.
The K-12 school presently has 150 students and will graduate its first batch of high school students this year. Many of them have been studying in the school since kindergarten.
School administrators hope that the accreditation will help increase enrollment in addition to making it easier for its students to gain admission into universities.
