Toronto Maple Leafs ice hockey player Nazem Kadri sprained his left knee earlier this week during training camp for the National Hockey League (NHL) team. The injury is expected to keep him out of the line-up for the next three to four weeks.
An MRI confirmed that there was no tear seen in the ligaments of the left knee. The Lebanese-Canadian Kadri had been fighting for a roster spot at the time of his injury. Kadri was Toronto’s first round pick, and seventh overall pick, in the 2009 NHL draft. Kadri is from nearby London, Ontario, adding just a bit of extra pressure on the home town boy. It looks like he will get a bit of a respite from the pressure as he rests and rehabilitates his injury.
