SEABROOK,NH–Aboul Khan has been elected as the Selectman of the Town of Seabrook, New Hampshire, for second time in a row. Khan received a total of 1,157 votes. The other contenders in the race were far behind with 321 and 80 votes respectively.
Khan expressed his appreciation for being reelected for another term. â€œIâ€™d like to thank the first-time voters who came in big groups, and the people who gave me the trust,â€ Khan said. â€œI will preserve and cherish their trust in my next term.â€
Khan had received widespread support from the local community with many people writing letters in the newspapers supporting his re-election bid.
The Board of Selectmen is the executive and administrative arm of town government. Three selectmen are elected at large by plurality vote to staggered three year terms.
