Aboul Khan Selected as Selectman of Seabrook
SEABROOK,NH–Aboul Khan has been elected as the Selectman of the Town of Seabrook, New Hampshire, for second time in a row. Khan received a total of 1,157 votes. The other contenders in the race were far behind with 321 and 80 votes respectively.
Khan expressed his appreciation for being reelected for another term. “I’d like to thank the first-time voters who came in big groups, and the people who gave me the trust,†Khan said. “I will preserve and cherish their trust in my next term.â€
Khan had received widespread support from the local community with many people writing letters in the newspapers supporting his re-election bid.
The Board of Selectmen is the executive and administrative arm of town government. Three selectmen are elected at large by plurality vote to staggered three year terms.
