Blood Drive
The American Red Cross is challenged with increasing the blood supply daily. People throughout Southeastern Michigan are counting on The American Red Cross every day to help them feel well again, children who suffer from sickle cell anemia or leukemia, patients with cancer, patients receiving organ transplants, newborns in neonatal intensive care units, victims of fire and auto accident victims. You can help save up to 3 lives when you donate blood,
The [Bloomfield] Muslim Unity Center wants to help do our part to help with the blood shortage ~ on Friday, January 4th, 2008 from 1pm to 7pm we would like to host a blood drive. In order to do so we need at least 30 commitments to have the drive. Please contact Randa Sabry at the Unity Center office before December 15th to agree to donate. At that time you will be asked to schedule a time.
The patients of southeastern Michigan need you patients like Sherry, who suffered a stroke in the fourth month of pregnancy. She was diagnosed with a rare disease that causes blood clots to form in small blood vessels throughout the body. During her 17-day hospital stay, she received nearly 1,900 blood products. Because so many blood donors cared enough to help save lives, Sherry gave birth to a healthy son.
