Farhan Asrar to Receive Top Medical Honor

farhan-asrarDr. Farhan Asrar, chief resident for McMaster University’s Public Health and Preventive Medicine Program, will receive the national Resident Leadership Award from the Royal College of Physician and Surgeons of Canada in Ottawa on Oct. 20 during the International Conference on Residency.

The award is given to a resident medical doctor that “has demonstrated outstanding leadership skills during their residency training, has encouraged the development of future leaders in medicine and has shown strong role modelling and mentorship ability among his peers.”

Asrar will receive the award at the college’s upcoming annual conference and awards dinner.He was also a recipient of McMaster University’s 2012 Quality Assurance Award.
